Rockets Fan Arrested For Punching Pelicans Assistant Coach In The Face After NBA Game
This past Saturday, the Houston Rockets beat the New Orleans Pelicans in a hard fought game.
Since the Rockets won, their fans should have been happy. But at least one fan wasn’t and now has to live with the consequences.
This fan allegedly punched New Orleans Pelicans assistant coach, Joe Boylan, at the end of the game.
Prosecutors charged the fan named Manuel Garcia with misdemeanor assault for punching Boylan in the face after Saturday’s game. His girlfriend got arrested as well, for allegedly preventing police from getting to Garcia.
Harris County District Attorney’s Office prosecutor Nathan Beedle says he “we will get to the bottom of this and hold them both accountable for their actions.”
It still isn’t known exactly what caused the altercation.
