Becky Hammon Convinced Pop To Use Coach’s Challenge And Possibly Won The Game For The Spurs

For many, Becky Hammon is a lock to become the NBA’s first female head coach. She reportedly was a serious candidate vor the vacant Knicks coaching gig after the David Fizdale firing just recently. And why not?! She’s got the expertise, the skills and the ability to lead a team, gender really shouldn’t play any role.

Last night, Becky once again proved that she has a feel for the game and basically won the game for the Spurs.

Late in the 4th in a close game against the Miami Heat, Hammon convinced head coach Gregg Popovich to challenge Jimmy Butler’s and-1 continuation. The Spurs ended up winning the challenge and the game.
