Did Kyrie Irving Just Compare Himself To Martin Luther King Jr.?
Ever since joining the Nets, Kyrie Irving has been named as a source of concern for the franchise this season. Whether it’s rumors about possible ‘mood swings’ or rumors about Kyrie not being a great locker room guy, the All-Star generally receives a lot of criticism.
While defending his most recent statements, Kyrie compared himself to none other than Martin Luther King Jr., and it’s ridiculous.
“When I was out for those seven weeks and not saying anything and still people are still saying things about me. It’s inevitable. They crucified Martin Luther King for speaking about peace and social integration. You can go back to historical leaders and great people in society that do great things, and they’re still going to talk sh*t about them. It is what it is.”
