Jeopardy Contestant Gave Joel Embiid A Hilarious New Nickname He Since Has Accepted
Last year, the ‘trust the process’ slogan was causing trouble between Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers, when they found themselves in fierce competition over who gets to own the trademark for the phrase.
Joel Embiid had filed 8 new trademark applications for trust the process, but the Sixers had also filed for a trademark. Unlike on the field, it was Embidd vs the Sixers. But the United States Patent and Trademark Office ended up approving Embiids trademark application for “The Process” nickname.
While this wasn’t too long ago, this Jeopardy contestant didn’t seem to remember, nor has he ever heard of Embiid’s nickname…. EVER!
When asked about Embiid’s nickname, the contestant who buzzered first, replied with:
“Do-a-180”
Even Joel himself thought it was too funny and accepted his new nickname. He even changed his Twitter profile to ‘Joel “Do a 180” Embiid???’.
