NBA Twitter Rips Draymond Green For Putting Himself Above Charles Barkley
Draymond Green and Charles Barkley have been in an ongoing beef for years now, and the most recent eruptions make us believe that it certainly won’t end anytime soon.
Barkley has been making fun of Green on Inside the NBA all season long, for averaging a “triple single”.
In last week’s show, Chuck took some more shots at the three time NBA Champion, saying that he’s only trash talking when the Warriors’ stars are healthy:
“He talks all that stuff when he’s got them other boys with him, now he’s out there fight for himself he just don’t want to play. Give me a break. Y’all better quit telling me who can play and who can’t play. I know who can play.”
Then yesterday, after Warriors practice, Green was asked about Barkley’s criticism, and finally had the chance to respond. That he did, while taking numerous shots at the Hall of Famer, saying that Barkley wasn’t good enough to talk about him, neither at broadcasting nor at basketball.
“Barkley should stop before I take his job. Because I can do that well, too…He also can’t talk basketball with me either. Not smart enough, not qualified. No rings, can’t sit at this table.”

Well, Barkley, a former MVP, 11-time All-Star, and member of 11 All-NBA Teams, certainly was a better player than Draymond Green, with or without rings, and I’m not the only one who thinks that way. NBA Twitter seems to agree with this not so hot take, and went to work.

Charles Barkley won an MVP, 11x All-Star, made first or second team All NBA 10 times, and has his number retired for 2 different NBA franchises. Trying to belittle his career is dumb.

Charles Barkley won an MVP in 1993 and is a Hall of Famer… https://t.co/HfcJA4wssK

Just my personal opinion. Don’t want no smoke. Draymond is not even close to Charles Barkley’s level as a player or as an analyst. Not really sure what he’s talking about here. Also, he can’t use the “no rings” argument. We all know why, right? https://t.co/v9IBP9JHaR

Draymond Green is…..
1) A great player
2) A great soundbite
3) A great passer/defender
4) A great teammate5) Nowhere in the class of Charles Barkley as a player. Simple as that. https://t.co/tli5DAZWmf
