LeBron James has been active when it comes to giving back to his communities. He has also raised awareness on various social issues and is constantly showing his generosity to serve the underprivileged. The kid from Akron has been vocal about being more than an athlete; he makes sure his influence goes beyond basketball and reaches countless of people across the globe.

With thousands affected by the on-going coronavirus pandemic, the NBA superstar has showed his compassion and support to those people in need once again.

On Sunday, rapper Diddy brought LeBron on his Instagram live for what they call “DANCE-A-THON” where they show off dance moves in order to raise funds for health workers who are risking their lives to fight the virus.

LeBron is just one of many personalities who were featured on this fundraiser. Some other notable personalities included Jennifer Lopez, Drake, Alicia Keys, Snoop Dogg and Shaquille O’Neal. Diddy revealed that the Dance-A-Thon has now raised $3,000,000 that will go directly to those medical frontliners.

This isn’t the first time LeBron has made a charitable involvement during the pandemic. Since the start of the pandemic, schools had to postpone or cancel their school year in order to minimize the spread, and for obvious safety reasons. One of these schools is LeBron’s ‘I Promise School’ in Akron, Ohio.

Last March, LeBron James – along with his foundation, started helping the families involved in the school. The LeBron James Foundation reportedly provided food for more than 1,300 people in 340 families. In addition, they have partnered up with Akron Family Restaurant to aid assistance to deliver meals to make this program possible. Per USA TODAY:

Akron Family Restaurant co-owner Nick Corpas said he got a call last week and was excited to help. He started making his orders almost immediately and began prepping for the meals on Monday. He and restaurant employees arrived at the restaurant at 6 a.m. ET Tuesday to cook and assemble the meals.

LeBron’s meaningful works aren’t limited to basketball; he continues to make a significant change and progress even outside of the court. He’s a role model and an example for everyone to follow.
