Kendrick Perkins Calls Out Blatant Double Standard For Expectations Towards LeBron James In Comparison To Michael Jordan
With the never-ending GOAT debate getting more and more fuel due to ‘The Last Dance’, more and more players and fans are taking side of their favorite.
While Michael Jordan is put on a pedestal, LeBron James will get flamed for similar accomplishments. That’s what former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins has now had enough of.
Perk vented on Twitter, calling out the double standard, that definitely is there (and I’m saying this as someone who has Jordan as his GOAT) and the expectations the media and fans have for LeBron in comparison to Michael Jordan.
“The expectations of ‘Bron [are] like nothing we’ve ever seen in NBA history. If Bron scores 63 and 49 in a series and gets swept, every sports network is talking about his inability to get it done, while MJ is getting praised and awarded player of the game in losses,” Perkins tweeted.

Michael Jordan’s NBA playoff-record 63 point night in Boston was praised by everyone after the documentary premiered this past Sunday, even though it came in a losing effort. LeBron James on the other side has had some incredible games in losses too, but mostly gets criticized for them.
Maybe, in 20 years time, when a LeBron James documentary will air, his unreal performances in playoff or Finals losses will be praised too, and his successor on the court will get flamed for his losses. Only time will tell.
