Former Teammate Craig Hodges Rips Michael Jordan For Revelations In ‘The Last Dance’

Craig Hodges played in the NBA for 10 seasons and led the league in 3-point shooting percentage in 3 of them. He also won two NBA championships with the Chicago Bulls, and alongside Larry Bird, is one of only two players to win three consecutive Three Point Contests. Hodges won in 1990, 1991, and 1992 and was the runner-up in 1986 and 1989.

Hodges also is one of the few people who isn’t enjoying ESPN Films and Netflix’s joint production ‘The Last Dance’, a 10-part documentary about Michael Jordan and the 1990s Chicago Bulls, Hodges was also part of for some years.

One of Hodges’ problems with the series dates back to episode 1, and the story Jordan recalled from the 1984 NBA preseason. Rookie Jordan was trying to find his teammates in a hotel. When he found them, they were doing coke with hookers.

Per Fox Sports Radio:

“One of the things as players we call this a fraternity. So I’m watching the first episode and I was upset about the ‘cocaine circus’. That bothered me because I was thinking about the brothers who are on that picture with you who have to explain to their families who are getting ready to watch this great Michael Jordan documentary event and they know you’re on the team, and now you’ve got to explain that to a 12-year-old boy.”

Another thing Hodges did not like was Jordan throwing Horace Grant under the bus as a source of information to the infamous book, “The Jordan Rules.”

“And then last night with Horace, that hurt me. I’m letting MJ know that that ain’t right, dude. Horace did not deserve to take the fall for ‘Jordan Rules’. If MJ knows something else and knows Horace’s motive, then tell us how Horace did it for my sake, because I’m your teammate brother, just like they are, and I’m kind of salty how everybody got interviewed but me.”
