JJ Redick Roasted Donald Trump With A LeBron James Reference
On Saturday, President Donald Trump hosted his first campaign rally since the coronavirus pandemic hit the United States in March, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The much-hyped rally however, drew less crowds than what Trump had promised and imagined, and was featured with thousands of empty seats.
Eventually, pictures of the rally were posted on Trump’s Twitter account which appear to only show the seats filled with people. The tweet has drawn tons of reactions, even New Orleans Pelicans sharpshooter JJ Redick had to weigh in.
On Twitter, Redick responded to Trump’s tweet with a blunt response, daring the President to show the rest of the arena and claiming that LeBron James garnered a larger crowd when he was in high school.
Show the rest of the arena!!! LeBron had more fans at his HIGH SCHOOL games. https://t.co/zqyHxdEBmh

With the NBA on hiatus for the last three months, the Pelicans shooting guard has used his social media presence and podcast for a better purpose. Amidst the huge civil movement in the country, Redick touched on a variety of topics including police brutality, politics and other societal issues to create awareness and show support to the social justice reform in the country.
Redick, alongside the Pelicans, will be back for the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida in late July. The Pelicans, bearing the 10th seed, are in a close race against the Memphis Grizzlies, Portland Trail Blazers, Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.
