Rudy Gobert Gets Clowned After Hilariously Re-Tweeting The Wrong Serena Williams

Rudy Gobert was the first NBA player to be tested positive with COVID-19 back in March which eventually triggered the NBA to stop all operations. Gobert also became the center of criticism for his reckless behavior, mocking the risks of the coronavirus shortly before testing positive.

Three months later, Gobert, who’s now cleared of COVID-19, has once again caught everyone’s attention; not because of his childish acts, but for hilariously sharing a post that came from a different Serena Williams than Gobert had in mind when sharing. He obviously thought the post was from the professional tennis player.

It turns out that it was a white woman who shares the same name as the African-American tennis star. The original post involves a political statement which was shared by Gobert on his Twitter account, but recently got deleted after the Utah Jazz center realized his mistake. This man definitely needs a publicist!

Safe to say the Stifle Tower is having a rough year. After the Jazz center was diagnosed with coronavirus, his co-star Donovan Mitchell became the second Jazz player to be tested positive. The two players made more headlines after it was reported that their relationship may not be salvageable due to the incidents that priorly occurred.

Gobert was averaging 15.1 points, 13.7 rebounds and 2.0 blocks per game on 69.8% shooting from the field before the hiatus. The Utah Jazz are coming back as part of the 22 teams that are gearing up for the resumption of the 2019-20 NBA season.
