Draymond Green Picked Clippers Over Lakers But Changed His Mind Because Of LeBron James

The Golden State Warriors have had a disastrous season this year after an unfortunate injury to two of their best players in Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. With the Warriors being out of contention, forward Draymond Green found himself picking a different team to win the NBA championship.

Joining ‘Jalen & Jacoby’ on ESPN, Green believes the well-rounded Los Angeles Clippers were the title-favorites throughout the season. But since the hiatus has become a turning point, Green now thinks the Los Angeles Lakers have the best chance to win it all because of LeBron James.

“They (Clippers) check all the boxes, they can match up with any team well. They have everything that you need to win a championship.”

“However, I think to go into this bubble, the Lakers got to be the favorite because they got LeBron [James] and he can kind of adjust (to) anything,” Green said. “And I think he’s probably the most disciplined player we’ve ever seen in the NBA, and that’s going to matter going into this bubble. Having LeBron on your team going into this bubble gives you a slight advantage.”

Green and James have matched up in four consecutive NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. Green had an experience battling with James on the biggest stage, so that likely warrants his knowledge about LeBron’s capability to carry the team in any situation.

Green has been complimentary of James as of late. Recently, the Warriors forward gave a heartwarming acknowledgment on James, praising him and hoping that he runs for President one day. Green also spoke out that James is arguably the Greatest Player of All-Time.

LeBron James has been evidently in support of the NBA’s decision to resume the season despite an opposition from a group of other NBA players.
