Adrian Wojnarowski Speaks Out On ‘F**k You’ E-Mail To Senator That Got Him Suspended

About two weeks ago, ESPN suspended Adrian Wojnarowski, after he replied with a simple “F— you” in an e-mail to senator Josh Hawley, after Hawley had written the NBA asking why the league was not allowing pro-military, pro-police and pro-Hong Kong messages for players to replace their names on their jerseys with.

When the news of Wojnarowski’s suspension broke, the hashtag #FreeWoj began trending on Twitter and many NBA players, among them stars like LeBron James, joined and voiced their support for the breaking news legend.

Wojnarowski, who is back to breaking news now, talked about the email, and how he handled the fallout from his outburst.

Per the New York Post:

“I regretted sending that email,” Adrian Wojnarowski, ESPN’s top NBA reporter, told Marchand. “I have not made a habit of doing that, but I sent that one and I regret it.

“I understood the decision they made. I accept it. I left them no choice. You can’t do what I did and not expect there to be consequences. I’m far more comfortable reporting the news, trying to break the news than being the news. I take pride in always letting the story be the news and letting the league be the news. My action caused me to be the news and I regret that.”
