Steve Kerr Says Bulls, Michael Jordan Would Be Unstoppable In Today’s NBA
Steve Kerr has had a picture perfect career so far. Not only has he won five championships as a role player, he’s also continued his success as a coach, winning three championships with the Golden State Warriors.
Kerr won three of his championships as a player as a member of the Chicago Bulls. He and Michael Jordan had great respect for each other and Kerr once said that he owes his entire career to Jordan.
To this day, Kerr always speaks highly of arguably the greatest player of all-time. While making an appearance on the Bill Simmons podcast, Kerr now talked about how Jordan would have also dominated today’s NBA.
“When I look back at that Bulls team, that team was actually built to play today. Now, minus the volume of three-point shooting, but I think that team was capable of it.
But when you’re talking about the versatility that you need to defend today. If you throw out on to the court, Ron Harper, Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, Toni Kukoc, and Dennis Rodman, that’s a 2020 defense. Those five guys can guard anybody.
And then offensively, nobody ever could guard Michael Jordan then. You can only imagine now, with the spacing and the rules.”
