Street Outside Staples Center To Be Renamed To Kobe Bryant Boulevard
Even though Kobe Bryant tragically passed away in a helicopter crash on January 26, he still is omnipresent in the entire world and especially in Los Angles. On top of numerous murals and other memories all across town, Bryant’s jersey numbers 8 an 24 are hanging from the rafters of Staples Center in Los Angeles.
Now, the street outside of Staples Center will be renamed to Kobe Bryant Boulevard.
Figueroa Street will be unveiled as Kobe Bryant Boulevard between Olympic Boulevard and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, according to Los Angeles City Council member Herb J. Wesson Jr.
Figueroa St. will soon be Kobe Bryant Blvd. between Olympic & MLK.
Kobe’s legacy is bigger than basketball. #KobeBryantBlvd will be a reminder to everyone, young and old who drive down it, there is no obstacle too big and that with the #Mambamentality , anything is possible.
