Chris Webber’s Incredibly Emotional, Raw, Eloquent And Real Statement About Why These Boycotts Are So Important

Yesterday, the Milwaukee Bucks decided to boycott Game 5 of their playoff series against the Orlando Magic.

The decision led to the Magic, as well as the other four NBA teams scheduled to play on Wednesday making the same decision, in unison with the WNBA, and the MLB’s Milwaukee Brewers.

As you can imagine, the boycott has been omnipresent in all the media outlets ever since. This included NBA on TNT, where two outstanding things happened – Kenny Smith standing with the players, joining the boycott, and Chris Webber’s incredibly emotional, raw, eloquent and real statement.

While I often say that as good of a player he was then, as bad of a commentator he is now, Webber’s message about why these boycotts are so important and why they mean so much was simply incredible. Kudos!
