Donald Trump Burns NBA In Response To Boycott, Joe Biden Voices His Support
The remaining NBA teams have boycotted their most recent playoff games in the wake of Jacob Blake being shot several times in the back as he entered a car where his three children were seated, and due to the ongoing systematic racism in the United States.
When president Donald Trump, who is already at war with the NBA over player protests during the National Anthem, was asked about his opinion on the boycott, he blasted the NBA over its bad ratings, while saying it has become a “political organization”.
“I don’t know much about the NBA protest. I know their ratings have been very bad, because I think people are a little tired of the NBA frankly. But I don’t know too much about the protest, but I know their ratings have been very bad, and that’s unfortunate. They’ve become like a political organization, and that’s not a good thing. I don’t think that’s a good thing for sports or the country.”
Former Vice President, Joe Biden, who will be running for president this year as the Democratic Party nominee in the meantime showed his support for the Bucks as well as the entire NBA.
“This moment demands moral leadership. And these players answered by standing up, speaking out, and using their platform for good. Now is not the time for silence.”
