Former NYPD Commissioner Confronts & Blasts LeBron James After Police Criticism

LeBron James voiced criticism towards police again on Monday in a conference call with various members of the media.

“I’ve got nothing nice to say about those cops at all.

If you’re sitting here and telling me that there was no way to subdue [Blake] or detain him before the firing of guns, then you’re sitting here and lying to not only me, you’re lying to every African American, and every black person in the community.”

This criticism has led to former NYPD Commissioner, Bernie Kerik, confronting James, blasting him on Twitter:

“You should not comment or criticize when you have no idea what the job is, nor would you have the courage to do it. I’d challenge [LeBron James] to handcuff someone the refuses to comply, or spend a day in a firearms simulations training center?”
