Chris Paul’s Thank You To The Oklahoma City Thunder Sure Sounds Like Farewell

Chris Paul had a real bounce back season in Oklahoma City, while continuing to be productive and still being one of the most impactful players in the game at age 35.

Things indeed looked a little different last year though. After a tough 2018-19 season, many called Paul washed and at the final stages of his impressive career. But his trade from Houston to the Thunder turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Paul.

Led by the 10-time All-Star, the Thunder turned shoulders with their great play and surprised everyone by easily reaching the playoffs, where they eventually would fall short to the Houston Rockets in seven hard fought games.

In a video message, Chris Paul now thanked the Oklahoma City Thunder, including the front office, coaches, players fans and staff for welcoming him back, and for believing in him when everyone was counting him out.

The message though, surely sounds like farewell, if you ask me. After listening to Paul’s words, it wouldn’t be a surprise at all if he left the Thunder for a new challenge in this coming offseason.
