In 2011 Paul George Played For The Pacers, Kawhi For The Spurs & Nikola Jokic Was Just A Kid Who Couldn’t Find Someone To Hoop With

In these last two days, we’ve all seen the picture of young, chubby, Nikola Jokic with his juice box numerous times and it indeed is funny to think about how quickly things can change.

Jokic is just coming off his biggest success as a professional basketball player, after beating the Kawhi Leonard and Paul George-led Los Angeles Clippers. But if we only go back a couple of years – not as far back as from when the infamous Jokic photo was taken, but back to 2011 – thinks looked a lot different.

In 2011, Kawhi Leonard was drafted by the Indiana Pacers, and traded to the San Antonio Spurs on draft night, starting his journey to NBA stardom.

In 2011, Paul George was playing for said Indiana Pacers in his rookie season, and was already showing that he could become a great player, at times, especially on defense.

In 2011, Nikola Jokic on the other hand was a Serbian teenager who wasn’t even close to becoming a professional basketball player, let alone an NBA player. More so, it seems as Jokic wasn’t even able to find someone to hoop with.

This is why he shared this following Facebook post of his six times. The translation:

“Does anybody wanna hoop?”
