NBA, Doc Rivers And Jameer Nelson Reportedly Offer to Help Delonte West After New Viral Photo
Last year, NBA fans spotted Delonte West on the streets again and again, intensifying the rumors that West indeed is homeless.
These stories all came out of Dallas, Texas, but earlier this year, a new video surfaced showing West captured, discussing an alleged altercation in Washington D.C.
It appears West has made his way back to North Dallas where he was spotted on the streets holding a sign asking people for money. The photo of him has since gone viral.
The Boston Celtics first round draft pick from 2004 was in the NBA for 8 years and played for the Celtics, the Supersonics, the Cavaliers, and the Mavericks.
This is so sad. I hope he gets the help he obviously needs, which isn’t solely a financial situation, but also a mental health one. It thankfully appears though that some people are trying to help him. TMZ reports that the NBA, his former coach Doc Rivers, and his former college teammate Jameer Nelson have already attempted to get in touch with him.
Multiple sources tell us that the league, NBPA, and Delonte’s former coach, Doc Rivers, and former St. Joe’s college teammate, Jameer Nelson, and others have attempted to get DW much needed assistance.
