Kendrick Perkins Says Bam Adebayo Is A ‘Baby Shaq’ With ‘Some Giannis Skills’
Miami Heat center Bam Adebayo has been getting a lot of recognition lately due to his stellar performances throughout the NBA playoffs. Adebayo has solidified himself as one of the top tier big men in the NBA and is backing it up with averages of 18.5 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.9 assists per game this postseason.
As Adebayo continues to display excellence in multiple ways, retired defensive center and now-NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins gave his props to the Heat center, naming him as one of the most versatile bigs in the NBA and putting him top three in his position.
“Bam Adebayo is one of the most versatile bigs in the NBA. Top three in my opinion. When you look at him on the defensive, he is everything you want. He can switch one through five, great rim protector, and great in the pick and roll. Offensively, there’s nothing Bam can’t do and we saw that last night. After having a sub-par performance offensively in game four, he came out and said I gotta be better. (Bam) dominated last night. He had it his way… (Adebayo) looked like a Baby Shaq down there with some Giannis skills, coming up court and euro stepping in and out. He was in his bag.”
