Delonte West’s Friend Shares Unsettling Video Of His ‘World Of Paranoia’ Before Mark Cuban Came To Help

After Delonte West was spotted on the streets of Dallas again, holding a sign asking people for money, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban went actively looking for West, found him and picked him up at a Dallas gas station in an attempt to help his former player get his life back on track.

Cuban reportedly took West to a local hotel and offered to pay for his treatment, something West has agreed to, as he now entered rehab in Florida.

A friend of Delonte now gave people an unsettling glimpse into his life of paranoia. Lenora Cole shared the video of time she had spent with West with the New York Post and said that she has been trying to help West for over half a year:

“He’s a sweet and humble person, he’s not violent or aggressive at all, ever,” she said. “He has a good heart and a good sense of humor, he’s just addicted to embalming fluid and alcohol. It’s really sad.

I was trying to get him help, but he was really paranoid, he didn’t seem to trust anyone but me. It was really hard to convince him that he needed to accept professional help and go into rehab.”

West was drafted in the 2004 NBA Draft and played for the Celtics, Supersonics, Cavaliers, and the Mavericks.
