People In Rehab Facility Are Happy With Delonte West’s Progress, ‘Optimistic He Can Overcome His Challenges’
After Delonte West was spotted on the streets of Dallas again, holding a sign asking people for money, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban went actively looking for West, found him and picked him up at a Dallas gas station in an attempt to help his former player get his life back on track.
Cuban reportedly took West to a local hotel and offered to pay for his treatment, something West has agreed to, as he now entered rehab in Florida.
TMZ Sports now found out that West is currently in the detox phase of his treatment, with people being happy with his progress so far. They’re optimistic that he can overcome his challenges.
“West is undergoing the process under the supervision of professionals — but it’s still extremely tough.
One person close with West told us Delonte is “doing fine” while “roughing it out” in order to move on to the phase of his treatment.
After detox is complete, we’re told West will move to a new location where his treatment will focus on mental health and long term sobriety programs.
Bottom line … it’s not an easy process. It’s not quick either. But, the people we’re talking with tell us they’re happy with Delonte’s progress so far and they’re optimistic he can overcome his challenges.”
