Danny Green Rips The Los Angeles Clippers: “You Shouldn’t Be As Cocky”

After last year’s offseason, the Los Angeles Clippers were getting all sort of labels as the best team in the West, after signing two-time champion Kawhi Leonard and All-Star Paul George.

While there was nothing wrong about being hyped up about their offseason haul, the Clippers apparently started to take their feet off the pedal and got a little too cocky, as if they got the championship all locked up. Patrick Beverley, as a prime example, told Stephen Curry he already got the next five years under his bag.

All the talks surrounding the Clippers eventually died down after the team completely deteriorated against the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the playoffs. As the Clippers failed to back up their words, Lakers champion Danny Green now gave a fishy piece of advice to the Clippers, in a recent appearance on the ‘Real Ones’ podcast.

“I think the basketball Gods will humble you if you don’t play the game the right way or do the right thing. I mean, a lot of people say speak things into existence, which is cool I like that, you shouldn’t be as cocky or because a lot of times it’s going to go the opposite way, you know. Someway somehow, you know, things ironically it’s gonna turn out the way opposite of you talking [expletive].”
