Frank Vogel Disregards Asterisk Talks And Reveals What The Lakers Had To Endure To Win A Championship
Basketball fans are arguing whether there should be an asterisk next to Los Angeles Lakers’ championship. Granted, the team won in the most unusual environment, without thousands of fans, no home-court advantage, no traveling and no other distressing things that the usual playoff setting has to offer.
But while many people believe that the Lakers had it easier, Lakers head coach Frank Vogel, on the other hand, discussed the difficulty of playing inside the bubble and detailed what his team had to endure just to capture their elusive NBA title.
Per ocregister.com:
“To endure that type of intense pressure environment, where every detail is scrutinized, where the intensity was high.” He then added, “to endure those meetings with no outlet of family, or whatever single guys would be doing, without an outlet, was one of the biggest challenges. It was a credit to all the participants to lean on and to support each other.”
