Dwight Howard Sees Ben Simmons As A Young LeBron James Who Could Become One Of The Greatest To Ever Play The Game

LeBron James game often gets linked to players who can play both forward and point guard positions, and are able to pass at a high-level while showing flashes of astounding athleticism. One player who checks all those boxes is none other than Philadelphia 76ers star Ben Simmons.

While it goes without saying that Simmons isn’t on the same career trajectory as LeBron when he was at the same age, it’s safe to say however that Simmons has the same archetype as the four-time NBA champion while also on path to achieve greatness in his own way.

Given their evident resemblance, it was easy for former Lakers champion and now-Sixers big man Dwight Howard to compare the 23-year old Philadelphia point guard to a young LeBron James. When talking about his new teammate in Philadelphia, Howard also mentioned that Simmons has the opportunity to become one of the greatest players to ever play the game.

“I’ve been saying for a couple years Ben Simmons is a young LeBron. I love the way he plays, how unselfish he is. … He has an opportunity to be one of the greatest to ever play the game.”
