Scottie Pippen Doubles Down On His ‘The Last Dance’ Criticism, Says Jordan Was Trying ‘To Uplift Himself & Be Glorified’  

After the airing of Netflix and ESPN’s hit documentary, ‘The Last Dance’, a 10-part documentary about Michael Jordan and the Chicago Bulls, was incredibly successful and talk of the town earlier this year, Scottie Pippen was reported as ‘beyond livid’ with his portrayal. Later reports even revealed that Pippen hasn’t talked to Michael Jordan ever since the start of the documentary.

In an interview with The Guardian, Scottie Pippen now doubled down on his accusations and revealed that he thinks the documentary’s purpose was Michael Jordan trying to uplift himself, and to be glorified.

“I don’t think it was that accurate in terms of really defining what was accomplished in one of the greatest eras of basketball, but also by two of the greatest players – and one could even put that aside and say the greatest team of all time. I didn’t think those things stood out in the documentary. I thought it was more about Michael trying to uplift himself and to be glorified…”

When asked if he confronted his former teammate with his opinion on the sports documentary miniseries, Pippen revealed that he talked to Jordan, who followngly accepted it.

“Yeah. I told him I wasn’t too pleased with it. He accepted it. He said, “hey, you’re right”. That was pretty much it.”
