NBA Twitter Turned Full Savage After Paul George Signed A Max Extension With The Clippers

Things could have definitely turned out more successfully for the Los Angeles Clippers.

Starting the season as on of the league’s top contenders, their season was cut short by the Denver Nuggets in the Eastern Conference Finals, after the Clippers had already led the series three games to one.

In the aftermath of the Clippers’ surprising playoff exit, it was revealed that teammates pretty much laughed at Paul George when he was preaching to them to remain committed and stay ready to make another run. Long-year head coach Doc Rivers also was fired and replace with former assistant, Tyronn Lue.

A couple of weeks later, George confirmed his commitment to the franchise and signed a four year, $190 million extension that will keep him with the Clippers until the 2024 season.

George’s extension obviously caused NBA Twitter to react. Not only were these reactions more savage than ever, but they also made “Pandemic P” a trending worldwide topic on the platform, as COVID-19 news.
