Did Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Barber Just Leak That He’s Going To Leave Milwaukee?
While the preseason has started, and the 2020-21 NBA season is set to tip off in a little over a week, one big question remains unanswered.
Is two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo going to sign the $228 million max contract extension the Bucks have offered him, or will he become a free agent next offseason.
According to NBA Insider, Adrian Wojnarowski, for Antetokounmpo, it’s not about the city, but about the winning:
“I know this about Giannis: his decision is not about wanting to be in a big market and have all the trimmings that come with Los Angeles or New York or wherever it is. I don’t think that’s part of his decision making. I think at his core he’s immensely loyal. I believe he loves the people in Milwaukee. Loves that community. He loves the organization. But he wants to win and that’s what he’s weighing.”
While Giannis has until December 21 to sign the extension, a cryptic and now deleted Instagram post of his barber, in which he was thanking the Greek Freak for the past 6 years, while wishing the best for him and his family, might reveal that his decision has already been made.
