The One Line Vanessa Bryant Had Removed From Kobe Bryant’s New Book
Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among the nine people on board the helicopter that crashed and left no survivors in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January 26.
Kobe not only was one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game, he also was an Oscar winner and best-selling author.
The second and final installment of his fantasy novel series “Epoca” was released last week. After his death, his wife, Vanessa Bryant, was a key part in the completion of “Epoca: The River of Sand,” and collaborated closely with Kobe’s co-author Ivy Claire.
When talking about the book, Vanessa revealed that she had to change one line in the book in honor of her late husband… the line features something Kobe would never have agreed on, due to his Mamba Mentality.
“There was one line in this book that said ‘Friends comes first, practice comes second. And I remember telling you there’s no way in hell that Kobe would ever agree. He used to always tell the kids ‘your friends will be there after practice.’”
