The Lakers’ Championship Rings Pay Tribute To Kobe Bryant
Only 72 days after winning the 2020 NBA Championship, the Los Angeles Lakers players were given their Championship rings.
The ring ceremony took place before the Lakers’ season opener against their city rivals, the Los Angeles Clippers. During the ceremony, the players were surprised by family members who presented them their rings in videos that were shown on the Jumbotron.
The rings itself are amazing, mostly due to the fact that they include Kobe Bryant tributes. There’s a Mamba behind each players’ number on the ring and when you take off the top of the ring Bryant’s retired numbers, 8 and 24, come to light.
