Metta World Peace Believes That The Acquisition Of Dennis Schröder ‘Almost Guarantees’ Lakers Repeat
This past offseason, coming off a championship season, Rob Pelinka and the Los Angeles Lakers proved that they weren’t satisfied with winning just one championship by being very aggressive in this year’s free agency, looking to improve the team in order to retain their Larry O’Brien trophy in the upcoming 2021 NBA season.
Two of their key acquisitions, in Dennis Schröder and Montrezl Harrell have adapted incredibly quick and bring so much needed playmaking and scoring to the team.
Especially Schröder, who is relieving LeBron James from shouldering the Lakers’ entire playmaking duties, has already proven to be extremely valuable for the purple and gold.
Former Lakers player, Metta World Peace even believes that the Lakers’ repeat is basically guaranteed due to the acquisition of the German point guard:
“Dennis almost guarantees a repeat for the Lakers,” Metta wrote in a now-protected tweet, via Peter Dewey of Lakers Daily. “Please don’t get mad at me. I’m just saying. I’m just a fan watching.”
