John Wall Denies Rumors Of Him And Bradley Beal Beefing: “It is Bigger Than Basketball”
John Wall and Bradley Beal formed a great backcourt duo for the Washington Wizards, before an eventual injury from John Wall, that left him sideline for two years, and a following trade to the Houston Rockets, abruptly ended their time as teammates.
After Wall’s trade to the Rockets, there was plenty of noise surrounding a rumor that the two star guards couldn’t function together, and that the two never really liked each other. Wall however, now absolutely ended these rumors, revealing that his and Beal’s friendship goes way beyond basketball.
“Yeah, for sure. Like I tell people, it is bigger than basketball. The stuff he did and been there, supporting me in situations. My mom passed; coming to the funeral. Doing all those types of things, I respect all of that. That goes beyond what you could do as a basketball player. That is just an opportunity to play with somebody you call your brother. But it’s bigger than that. And we still communicate as my training camp was going, talked to him after the 1st preseason game… basketball was just an extra thing what we did to grow our friendship and brotherhood.”
