Usain Bolt Shares Unheard Story About Meeting Kobe Bryant For The First Time
We are nearing the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death. Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among the nine people on board the helicopter that crashed and left no survivors in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
With Kobe now being gone for almost a whole year, many current and former stars are sharing their personal Kobe Bryant with the public, in order to honor his legacy. This obviously also includes stars from other sports, like the greatest sprinter in history, Usain Bolt.
Bolt revealed the story of when he first met Kobe and the interaction the two shared, while also reveaing that ‘Mamba Mentality’ played a huge role in his success.

“The first time I met Kobe was the All-Star game couple of years before. And that moment I was like ‘Kobe I’m such a fan’. Middle of the conversation he’s like, ‘Stop. I need to go get my daughter’s, they are huge fans of yours’.
For me to know his family and him, who was a fan of me. I watched Kobe through the years and just, the level of work. His mentality, as they called it Mamba Mentality. For me, it was a big thing.”
