Magic Johnson Says Kobe Bryant’s Hall of Fame Indcution Speech Would Have Been The Greatest In History
We are nearing the anniversary of Kobe Bryant’s tragic death. Bryant and his daughter Gianna were among the nine people on board the helicopter that crashed and left no survivors in Calabasas, California on Sunday, January 26, 2020.
With Kobe now being gone for almost a whole year, many current and former stars are sharing their personal Kobe Bryant with the public, in order to honor his legacy.
Bryant initially should have been inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame last year, alongside Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett, but the global Coronavirus pandemic pushed it back to this year.
Fellow Lakers legend, Magic Johnson now revealed that he wished Kobe could have delivered his speech on that day, also because it would have been the greatest Hall of Fame induction speech in history… and I fully agree with him.
“I know he was going to give a speech that probably would have been the best all-time, cause he’s competitive like that. He probably would have listened to what I said, what Michael [Jordan] said. He would have said, ‘OK, I’m about to give the greatest speech that there has ever been at the Hall of Fame.”
