Paul George Felt Disrespected After Getting Only 1 Free Throw Attempt Against Brooklyn

 

Los Angeles Clippers star Paul George didn’t beat around the bush when discussing the treatment he received from the officiating crew during Tuesday’s 120-124 loss against the Brooklyn Nets.

The Clippers only shot 17 times from the charity stripe last night, compared to the Nets, who got to the line more often, finishing with 26 attempts. Also worth noting that George, who finished with 26 points and 6 assists, only had 1 free throw attempt in 36 minutes.

During an interview, George made it clear that he was not happy with the officiating and marveled how didn’t get more free throws, considering the contact he initiated during the entire game.

Per ESPN:

 

“I mean, I think it was disrespectful that I had one free throw attempt today,” said George, who registered 26 points and six assists. “I am going to leave it at that.”

“The amount of plays I initiated or created contact,” George argued, “and to get sent to the line [one] time … “
