Metta World Peace Thinks He’s One Of The Best Wing Defenders In NBA History
The man with the many names, Metta Sandiford-Artest, formerly known as Ron Artest and Metta World Peace, has had a great NBA career. He’s been an NBA Champion, an All-Star, a member of an All-NBA Team and 4 All-NBA Defensive teams.
While World Peace has always been one of the league’s most controversial players, and still owns the record for the longest suspension for an on-court incident in NBA history, his defensive quality was undisputed.
During his appearance on 1-ON-1 with Basketball Network, the NBA Champion now revealed that he always felt that his defense was better than any opponent’s offense, while calling himself on of the best wing defenders of all-time.
“I felt like I was the best defender and I always felt like my defense was better than people’s offense so no matter who was up against me, my job that night was to be better than you on defense and that’s how I thought about my game…
…I would probably argue that I’m one of the best wing defenders to ever play the game.”
