Doc Rivers Compares Ben Simmons Defense To Scottie Pippen And Dennis Rodman’s
During his active playing career, Dennis Rodman was of the NBA’s ‘baddest Bad Boys’ with plenty of controversial off court stories.
On the court, Rodman was mainly known for his fierce defense and rebounding abilities in the 1990s. Together with Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan, Rodman made it almost impossible for opponents to score against the Bulls.
This Bulls defense was now used as a comparison for Ben Simmons, by Philadelphia 76ers coach Doc Rivers.
Rivers called Simmons a ‘chameleon’ on defense, saying his defensive versatility is on par with Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman.
Simmons just recently declared that he’s the best defender in the NBA.
Doc Rivers compared Ben Simmons to Dennis Rodman and Scottie Pippen defensively. He called Simmons a "chameleon" for his ability to guard all five positions.
