Brandon Ingram Says Zion Williamson Is His First Teammate Who’s As Talented As Him
Zion Williamson has stayed healthy and has continued to make strides this season. With averages of 25.1 points, 6.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game on 61.6% shooting, Williamson managed to earn himself an All-Star honor, making him one of the four first-time All-Stars coming to Atlanta this year.
As a newly-minted All-Star, Williamson has seen plenty of praise heap upon him as of late, but nothing quite like Brandon Ingram’s notable yet controversial statement on him.
Everyone is aware that Ingram once played with LeBron James, but had to part ways early to bring Anthony Davis to Los Angeles. So when Ingram was asked about Zion, he also didn’t pass up the opportunity to throw a bit of shade to his former teammate LeBron.
“I’ve never played with a player as talented as me. He’s a generational talent.”
Brandon Ingram on he and Zion having been All-Stars the last two years and being on the same team: "I've never played with a player as talented as me. He's a generational talent."
