This Season, LeBron James Is Becoming The Highest-Paid Player In NBA History

LeBron James hasn’t only been the best player in the NBA for a long time, but also the league’s top earning athlete in seven straight years (NBA salary as well as endorsements, memorabilia and media deals).

James just turned 36-years old last December, yet he’s still able to dominate today’s young bucks and rising stars. At this point, it’s just irresistible to acknowledge the longevity and consistency that LeBron is showing in year 18.

4 Championship rings, 4 Finals MVP awards, 4 regular season MVP awards, 2 All-Star Game MVP awards, 2 Olympic gold medals, 17 All-Star Game nominations, 16 All NBA Teams, 5 All Defensive First Teams, and the Rookie of the Year Award.

But James is still hungry for more and is adding new records to his resume on the regular. One milestone he’ll definitely be adding to his resume soon is historic. When the last portion of his $39.2 million 2020-21 salary has made it to his bank account, James will become the highest-paid player (salary only) in NBA history at $349.3 million surpassing both Kevin Garnett and Kobe Bryant, who made $343.9 million and $328.2 million, respectively.
