Kyle Kuzma Thinks Talen Horton-Tucker Would Be Like Anthony Edwards If He Was On A Bad Team
After spending most of his rookie season in the G-League, Los Angeles Lakers sophomore guard Talen Horton-Tucker has blossomed into a promising young player, eventually receiving minutes in the rotation while earning the trust and confidence of his teammates and coaches.
Although his stats may not appear as eye-popping, the lengthy Lakers guard has made strides and has been averaging 7.7 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game on 45.6% shooting from field throughout this season.
Looking at the Lakers roster, it’s obvious that his production will be affected by his limited playing time and will be hampered by LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and other key players like Dennis Schroder and Kyle Kuzma.
Taking this situation into account, Lakers forward Kuzma made a head-turning hot take and suggested that Horton-Tucker would have a similar level of play and production as number one overall pick Anthony Edwards if the Lakers guard played for a mediocre team like the Minnesota Timberwolves.
“He’s a great player … If he was on a team like the Timberwolves, he would be like Anthony Edwards or anyone else. … When he’s 25, 26, 27 he’s gonna be scary.”
Kyle Kuzma if there is something special about THT: "He's a great player … If he was on a team like the Timberwolves, he would be like Anthony Edwards or anyone else. … When he's 25, 26, 27 he's gonna be scary."
