Shaq Suggested To Lower Rims In WNBA For Dunks, Candace Parker Wasn’t Having It
Shaquille O’Neal has been receiving a lot of criticism this season for his questionable role as an NBA analyst on Inside the NBA on TNT.
The former superstar not only was called a ‘casual’ by Christian Wood for not knowing who he was, he also called Nikola Jokic ‘Russian’ and didn’t know Siakam’s first name was Pascal.
Then, a couple of weeks ago, Candace Parker highlighted Shaq’s failure to understand modern basketball and showed the world.
The two met last night for another discussion. Shaq suggested that the WNBA should lower its rims in order for more players being able to dunk, making the league more spectacular. Parker though didn’t seem to be too fond of the idea, and said that future WNBA player generations will be able to dunk anyways.
Shaq: “I have a way to make it [the NBA and WNBA] equal. Just listen to me… you’re ready? So in Beach Volleyball, the women’s net is maybe half an inch lower. I think if we just lowered the rim so y’all can dunk like we dunk, that would give y’all more oomph than you already have?!”
Parker: “Oh it’s coming… I guarantee. Lailaa [Parker’s daughter], she’s into dance, but my next child will be drop-step dunking. I promise you.”
