The Emergence Of Super Teams Is LeBron James’ Fault, Says Stephen A. Smith
Just when everyone thought super teams were out of the scene, the Brooklyn Nets have done the unthinkable and formed a super team with Kevin Durant, James Harden, Kyrie Irving, Blake Griffin and LaMarcus Aldridge.
With the emergence of yet another super team, popular NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith argues that there’s only one person to blame for this phenomenon, and it’s none other than four-time champion LeBron James.
While there were super teams before LeBron even played in the NBA, Stephen A. implied that LeBron influenced the trend when he joined Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat in the summer of 2010.
“Because you know who I ultimately blame for this. I blame LeBron James! It’s all his fault, it’s all his fault! First of all, you [LeBron] go to [South Beach]…
Remember when they won the championship in Cleveland and then the next year he came back, he added D.Wade to the mix, you [LeBron] got Deron Williams to the mix as well. You tried to do something like that in order to repeat as champions.”
