Kevin Durant Takes Subtle Dig At Referees After Blowout Loss To The Los Angeles Lakers
The Brooklyn Nets have been impressive all season long, but their recent game was a tough one to swallow as they found themselves on the losing end, suffering a 126-101 blowout loss against the Los Angeles Lakers who were missing LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Kyle Kuzma.
The Nets, without James Harden, tried to stay close, but they became severely outmatched after the referees tossed Kyrie Irving out of the game early in the third quarter for verbal altercation and jawing with Los Angeles Lakers combo guard Dennis Schröder.
During a post-game interview, Kevin Durant, who only played for 24 minutes on Saturday, was then given the opportunity to voice out his thoughts about the referees and the ejection of his fellow Nets star.
Per NetsDaily:
“Nope. No thoughts on that. They control the game and it’s on them to make those types of calls,” Durant said. “It doesn’t matter if we agree with it or not.”
