Evan Mobley Actually Announced Declared For The NBA Draft Using An NFT
NFTs are on the rise. Not only because of NBA Topshots, but in general. The entire collectors market has been pretty NFT forward in recent weeks, and rightfully so.
USC center and potential top 3 pick of this year’s draft, Evan Mobley, now announced he was declaring for the NBA draft. But unlike most of his colleague’s and fellow rookies to be, he didn’t publish an Instagram or Twitter post, but created an NFT instead.
It is a limited one-of-one edition that has been digitally signed by the top prospect and you can bid on it over at OpenSea. As of now (Sunday morning EST), the highest bid is $1.537,12.
This NFT is limited to 1 unique edition that is digitally signed by me and won’t ever be minted again. In addition to being awarded the artwork, the highest bidder of this initial auction will be gifted a signed jersey from my college days, a signed jersey from my upcoming pro team and 2 tickets + a meet and greet at a mutually agreeable game in the future. The winner must be holding this NFT at the end of the auction on April 19, 2021 in order to access the unlockable content to redeem this offer.
