Steve Kerr Compares Allen Iverson To Russell Westbrook: “Not Everybody’s Cup Of Tea”

While both Russell Westbrook and Allen Iverson are two of the greatest guards in NBA history, their style of play is completely different. While Iverson was one of the most gifted scorers the league has ever seen, Westbrook might be the best athlete among guards in NBA history.

But the two also have some similarities. They both are incredibly fast and difficult to defend, but it doesn’t end there. Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr now revealed that he sees the same qualities in Russell Westbrook, that he admired so much about Allen Iverson –  his passion on the court.

“For me looking back, I love Iverson. I love his passion, energy, just his will.

I think in many ways, he was a lot like Russell Westbrook, where maybe he’s not everybody’s cup of tea. Maybe you don’t love certain aspects of his game. But you just have to admire the ferocious athleticism and desire,”
