Deadline Passes Without Alex Rodriguez And Marc Lore Buying The Minnesota Timberwolves

Last month, it was revealed that baseball legend Alex Rodriguez and billionaire Marc Lore were on their way to become the new owners of the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The duo had exclusive negotiating rights for the next 30 days and it was more than expected that they would come to terms with current Timberwolves owner Glen Taylor.

Well, here we are now 30 days later and the deadline has passed without Lore and A-Rod buying the franchise.

Per Brian Windhorst of ESPN:

Tech entrepreneur Marc Lore and former baseball star Alex Rodriguez’s 30-day exclusive negotiating window to purchase the Minnesota Timberwolves from Glen Taylor has ended without a formal deal.

Both sides are continuing to negotiate in good faith in an attempt to reach an agreement and it is possible that an extension to the window could be worked out, but one isn’t currently in place, sources told ESPN.
