1997-98 Michael Jordan Trading Card Becomes Costliest MJ Memorabilia Ever
The basketball card market is on fire and is frequently setting new records at the moment.
Last year, an auction of a LeBron James 2003-2004 Upper Deck Exquisite rookie card broke the record for the most expensive ‘modern-day’ card with after selling for $1.8 million.
Then, another record-setting card sale went through in March, when high-end collector Bolillo Lajan San sold a one-of-one Luka Doncic 2018-2019 Panini National Treasures Logoman Rookie Card for the insane amount of $4.6 million dollars.
This record didn’t last long though, as a LeBron James 2003-04 Upper Deck “Exquisite Collection” Exquisite Rookie Patch Autograph card was sold for $5.2 million last month.
Now, a Michael Jordan Jordan signed NBA All-Star Game used patch card from Upper Deck’s 1997-98 set fetched over $2.1 million in an auction, making it the most expensive Michael Jordan memorabilia ever.
Final Sale Price: $2,103,300
