Vernon Maxwell, Who Once Beat The Living Sh*t Out Of A Heckler, Gives Advice To Kyrie Irving
Fans have just been allowed back in NBA arenas and they’re already acting up.
Trae Young was spat on, Russell Westbrook had popcorn poured over him, and Ja Morant’s family was targeted with racist remarks, Kyrie Irving had a water bottle thrown at him, and last night a Wizards fan ran onto the court.
This led to plenty of discussions about how the league could protect its players from such incidents. Charles Barkley came up with an entertaining idea that would allow each player to go up in the stands and beat the hell out of one fan per game.
This idea was now taken over by Vernon Maxwell, who gave some advice to Kyrie Irving:
“It’s just a bottled water right? If you feel disrespected then do something about it or it will keep on happening. Guess how many times a fan made a comment about my stillborn daughter? It cost me some money & a suspension but I sleep fine every night knowing I stood up for her.”

The incident Maxwell is talking about, dates back to February of 1995, when the two-time champion lost his cool and first insulted a heckler, then argued with his teammate about it, before casually walking into the stands, and towards the heckler, to deliver a devastating right hand.
As you can see, Maxwell more than lived up to his nickname – ‘Mad Max’. After this incident, the NBA suspended him for ten games and fined him $20,000; a punishment that would be infinitely higher in today’s NBA.
When #VernonMaxwell casually walked into the stands to smack the living sh*t out of a heckler, with #BillGates watching & #JerrySeinfeld narrating. One of the greatest videos ever!
