The TNT Crew Wasn’t Buying Shaq’s Story About His Son’s First Words One Bit
To me, TNT’s ‘Inside the NBA’ is by far the best and funniest NBA show around. The cast is outstanding and you can tell that Shaq, Kenny and Chuck are good friends off the camera as well.
The other night, Ernie Johnson asked Shaq to reflect about his and Kobe’s famous alley-oop connection, when he shared the story of his son Shareef’s ‘first words’ following the win.
What makes this hilarious is that the TNT crew wasn’t buying Shaq‘s story one bit:
Shaq: “He was two, at the time, and he said ‘Daddy, win.’ I didn’t even know he could talk.”
Kenny: “You knew he could talk. You lived in the house with him. You knew he could talk.”
Shaq: “Let me finish.”
Ernie: “I’m just trying to go down memory lane with you on that play and you said I didn’t even know he could talk.”
Shaq: “As you know, when I come in the house I’m real playful with the kids. So, like, right before the game he came and grabbed me and said ‘Daddy, win for me.’ And I was like ‘You can speak in sentences?’”
Kenny: “So his first words, his first sentence was ‘Daddy, win for me?’ You’re such a liar.”
“You lived in the house with him, you knew you he could talk!”
